Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What COVID precautions are being taken?

MyBody Complex is a completely private fitness facility; only individuals with appointments are allowed to enter. This allows each professional to appropriately wipe down equipment before and after each session. In addition, the maintenance team disinfects the facility twice a day.

Masks are optional during physical therapy sessions. If you are not feeling well, we encourage you to cancel/reschedule the appointment.

Where are you located?

We are located inside of MyBody Complex (193 Northfield Rd, Northfield, IL 60093). It is a completely private fitness facility: only individuals who have an appointment with a health care professional are allowed inside. Parking is located at the back of the facility.

What are your hours?

Monday - Friday 7am-7pm. Saturday & Sunday appointments are available upon request.

Do I need a referral?

In Illinois, referrals are no longer necessary prior to seeing a physical therapist. There may be insurance-specific regulations. Call us if you are unsure! 312-970-9404

Do you accept insurance?

Yes! We are currently in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO plans, and Medicare.

What if I do not have BCBS PPO or Medicare?

We can still work together! Although we are out-of-network for all other insurances, we can determine the out-of-network cost for our service. We also offer a cash-based service. Payments are due at the time of the appointment.

My deductible is high or I am out of network. How much do sessions cost through self-pay?

All sessions are 1 hour. The first session (initial evaluation) is $200. Follow up sessions are $180. If you have an insurance company that is out of network, we can call your insurance to determine the out of network cost.

I have tried physical therapy before. How is this any different?

After receiving his Doctorate from Northwestern, Muhibb Sadiq had pursued a 1 year post-doctoral orthopedic-specific training program. Only 10-20% of physical therapists across the nation complete this training. The extra training fine-tunes the clinician's ability to identify the appropriate contributing factors to your symptoms, and also determine if another provider/service may be more beneficial than just physical therapy. If physical therapy is not the right option, we will tell you.

Furthermore, our sessions are completely 1 on 1 so we can track the effectiveness of our interventions more appropriately.

How much does a session of Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) cost?

$180 for 45-60 minutes*. The price is similar to a full session of physical therapy because any kind of manual technique needs to be followed up with specific interventions to TEACH the patient how to maintain the improvements. After performing IASTM, we will walk through stretches/strengthening interventions to maximize the effects of IASTM

What if I need to cancel an appointment?

Call us! We encourage you to inform us >24 hours in advance. If an appointment is canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled time, there is a $70 cancelation fee. Not showing up without notice is subject to a $100 no-show fee.

I would like to improve my golf swing, baseball swing, basketball shot, but my range of motion & strength are limited. What can you do?

A physical therapist's job is to make therapy SPECIFIC to the patient. If an individual has an issue with a certain movement, I will either watch them at their sporting location, or take a video of their specific movement.

We will then sit down and analyze the video to discuss areas of restriction/limitation. Once that is done, I will perform specific exam techniques to assess for any muscle, nerve, or joint related restrictions.
