My Story

Muhibb Sadiq obtained his Bachelor's in Exercise Science & Health Promotion at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2016. He then pursued his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University. Following that, he completed a one-year postdoctoral orthopedic specialty program, which only about 10-20% of physical therapists across the nation have the opportunity to pursue.

The orthopedic program was with the #1 rehabilitation hospital in the country, Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, where he was treating patients full time, and acted as an adjunct faculty for Northwestern University, Department of Physical Therapy and Human Movement Sciences' Musculoskeletal and Kinesiology courses. Muhibb's experiences also include treating patients post traumatic brain injury, stroke, spinal cord, multiple sclerosis, and other neurologic conditions.

In 2018, Muhibb presented some of his work at the National Physical Therapy Conference in Washington D.C. In 2020, Muhibb had the opportunity to create an online learning module for the United Arab Emirates regarding mid-back pain and chest pain. Recently, his case report about mid-back pain and chest pain was accepted to present nationally in 2021.

Currently, Muhibb is a contract educator for Northwestern University's Department of Physical Therapy and Human Movement Sciences, and he also assists with the Kinesiology program at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is working on obtaining his certification in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis & Therapy (MDT), and recently received his Board Certification in Orthopedics (OCS)

Wild Nature

My Approach

The healthcare system has become an industry which prioritizes profits over evidence-based care and patient experiences. Muhibb believes that patient care should be completely one-on-one and consist of an individualized plan of care.

The human body is complex and is composed of many different systems (musculoskeletal, digestive, nervous, etc). All systems within the body interact with one another. Whenever an injury occurs, Muhibb believes that all systems of the human body should be addressed in order to maximize the body's potential to heal.

Every human thinks, feels, and acts differently. Why should you have the same rehabilitation program as someone else?
